About the Role
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis. Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Interns, Providers, PT, and OT in a 14-bed unit equipped with advanced technology, including telemetry monitoring and virtual communication tools.
Responsibilities
- Utilize skills such as EKG interpretation and central line care
- Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies
- Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Ohio RN licensure
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification within specified timeframes
- For PRN roles: at least one year of relevant RN experience with all certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree
- Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation
