Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Surgical

About the Role

Registered Nurse in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, providing high-quality, patient-centered care for conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.

The unit has 14 beds and employs advanced technology such as patient lifts, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills in EKG interpretation, central line care, rescue Bi-PAP, high flow oxygen, trach/vents.
• Assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, PT, and OT.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• BLS certification (within 90 days of hire).
• ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire).
• At least 1 year of relevant RN experience for PRN roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Recognized professional certification.
