About the Unit

Join our Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, providing high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations with conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. The unit has 14 beds and utilizes advanced technology including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills in EKG interpretation, central line care, rescue Bi-PAP, high flow oxygen, trach/vent management, and assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
• Collaborate with patient care nursing assistants, nurse interns, providers, physical and occupational therapists.
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (or within 6 months of hire).
• Relevant RN experience if applying for PRN positions.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree.
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
