About the Role
This position provides direct clinical patient care and assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating nursing care for patients on a shift and unit basis.
Responsibilities
- Supervise staff to ensure appropriate care delegation and maintain high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing services.
- Support the Chief Nursing Officer in ensuring staff competency, resource management, and adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate patient care according to medical protocols and nursing processes.
- Perform all hospital incident command system (HICS) duties during emergencies/disasters, including knowledge of emergency codes and hospital policies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as required by law.
- CPR certification.
Skills
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing.
