Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

About the role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit with a focus on complex conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), and Sepsis.

Manage a 14-bed unit in collaboration with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Interns, Providers, Physical Therapy (PT), and Occupational Therapy (OT).

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills in EKG interpretation, central line care, rescue Bi-PAP, high flow oxygen, and bedside procedures
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current RN licensure in Ohio
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet program
