Registered Nurse - Pulmonary Medicine Unit - Night Shift

Position: Registered Nurse in Pulmonary Medicine Unit, caring for higher acuity patients Location: Elmhurst, IL Hours: Night shift (7pm – 7am), with every 3rd weekend and holiday track Responsibilities: Develop and evaluate individualized care plans, assess patient health data, communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, and provide education tailored to patient needs. Support professional development, contribute to performance improvement, assist with technical procedures, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Conduct wound/ostomy/skin care rounds if skilled, and provide psychological support to patients. Qualifications: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, active Illinois RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year inpatient experience. Skills: Strong communication, assessment, teaching, and collaborative skills, with a focus on patient-centered care and evidence-based practice. Key Duties: Care planning, patient assessment, education, team collaboration, wound/ostomy care, and participation in quality initiatives.
