Registered Nurse - Pulmonary Medicine Unit - Night Shift

Position: Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Medicine Unit, serving higher acuity patients in Elmhurst, IL. Responsibilities include: Developing and evaluating individualized care plans, assessing patient health data, communicating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, and providing patient education tailored to cultural and learning needs. Supporting peers and contributing to a collaborative environment, assisting technical staff with procedures, and participating in quality improvement and research activities. Monitoring wound, ostomy, and skin care treatments (if skilled), and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Providing psychological support and assisting with transporting acutely ill patients. Qualifications: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, active Illinois RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and inpatient experience. Skills: Strong clinical assessment, communication, patient education, teamwork, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
