About the Role
Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Medicine Unit, caring for higher acuity patients in Elmhurst, IL.
Responsibilities
- Develops and evaluates care plans.
- Assesses patient health data and communicates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Documents care activities and provides patient education tailored to cultural backgrounds and learning styles.
- Offers emotional support and assists with procedures such as injections, venipuncture, and IV management.
- Participates in performance improvement and nursing research.
- Supports clinical education of peers and students.
- Conducts wound/ostomy/skin care rounds if skilled.
- Ensures HIPAA compliance.
- Assists with transporting acutely ill patients.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
- Active Illinois RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Preferred: Bachelor's in Nursing and 1 year inpatient experience.
- Must meet certification requirements within specified timeframes.
