Registered Nurse - Nursing Float Pool - Full-Time

About the Role

This position involves providing independent nursing care in Medsurg or Telemetry settings, focusing on routine and complex patient needs in accordance with treatment plans. The nurse assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care using evidence-based practices, while addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social aspects.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess and develop patient care plans.
• Manage patient throughput, admissions, discharges, and transfers to optimize flow.
• Oversee unit operations, including staffing, equipment, and resource management.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality care, and healthcare regulations.
• Follow clinical policies, maintain accurate health information documentation, and troubleshoot medical equipment.
• Process medical orders accurately, interpret patient charts, and promote patient safety.
• Administer medications, monitor treatment effects, and document patient information.
• Educate patients and families, and delegate tasks appropriately.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Medsurg and Telemetry; 5 years preferred.
• Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to multiple units and shifts, demonstrating flexibility and proactive availability.
