Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe and aseptic environment.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments.
- Assists physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Cleans wounds, changes dressings, and monitors patient vital signs.
- Observes and documents patient care, condition, reactions, and progress.
- Directs and assists support staff in the department.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Louisiana State RN License.
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
- ACLS provider certification within 30 days of employment.
- PALS certification preferred.
- SAMA required.
