Registered Nurse Float I, Nursing Float Pool - Full time

About the Role

The competent Nurse practices independently in the same or similar clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to work toward long-range goals or plans. Develops the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage clinical situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine and complex nursing care in a clinical setting.

• Manage contingencies in clinical nursing scenarios.
• Assign and delegate tasks to other care providers as needed.

Requirements

• 3 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical (required).
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty (preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• RN License in state of employment or compact state.
• BLS certification (required).
• Current PALS certification at time of hire or within 12 weeks of hire for experienced RNs.
• Current ACLS certification at time of hire or within 12 weeks of hire for experienced RNs.
• Current TNCC and ENPC certification within 12 months of hire for experienced RNs.
• Moderate Sedation certification within 3 months of hire for experienced RNs.
• Current de-escalation training or completion within 90 days of employment with annual recertification.
• Arrhythmia recognition certification within 8 weeks of hire.
• Current NIHSS certification at time of hire or within 90 days of hire for experienced RNs.

Schedule
