Registered Nurse - Float Pool - Full-Time

About the Role

This position involves providing independent nursing care in emergency and clinical settings, demonstrating comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills. The nurse addresses patients' physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, administering treatments, monitoring outcomes, and documenting care accurately.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver evidence-based care tailored to individual patient needs.
• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers about health conditions and treatments.
• Coordinate patient throughput, discharge planning, and unit operations.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety practices.
• Maintain accurate health information documentation and operate medical equipment properly.
• Process medical orders effectively and interpret patient charts for quality care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in emergency and another clinical specialty; 5 years preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice or a compact license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; PALS within 30 days; TNCC (Texas and New Mexico only).
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills.
