Registered Nurse - NICU - Night Shift

About the Role

Provides professional nursing care in a Level III NICU, ensuring patient assessment, monitoring, care planning, and delegation. Acts as a team member to achieve unit goals within hospital policies and Illinois regulations.

Occasionally floats to Peds/PICU, SCN, and Mother Baby units. Supports family-centered care in a 35-bed single-room NICU environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and recognize changes.
• Document observations and coordinate care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately within the care team.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required within five years if only an Associate Degree is held at hire.
• Current Illinois RN licensure and BLS certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of hire.
• NICU experience preferred.
