Registered Nurse - NICU - Night Shift

Role Overview

Provides professional nursing care in a Level III NICU, ensuring family-centered, high-quality patient care. Assesses patient conditions, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, documents observations, delegates tasks, and collaborates with the team to meet unit goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor neonatal patients, employing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Record pertinent observations and recognize patient status changes.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to staff members and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain compliance with Illinois Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if only an Associate Degree.
• Current Illinois RN licensure and BLS certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of hire.
• NICU experience preferred.
