Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit - Nights

About the Role

Provide direct nursing care in a 12-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit, focusing on adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs. Coordinate patient care plans, monitor and communicate patient conditions, and execute physician and nursing orders. Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care according to established policies and procedures.
• Serve as a primary coordinator among disciplines for well-organized patient care.

Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire and Advanced Life Support within 6 months.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school.

Schedule

Full-time night shifts available (7pm–7am).
