Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit - Nights

Position Overview Provides leadership and coordinates staffing in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with 12 beds, focusing on adult and geriatric patients with complex needs.Ensures delivery of quality patient care by assigning, directing, educating, and monitoring nursing/support staff during shifts.Assesses patient care needs, develops care plans, and evaluates care effectiveness to meet desired outcomes.Responds to patient care concerns, manages issues through established channels, and may participate in staff hiring, training, and evaluations. Qualifications And Skills Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS may be required within six months depending on unit.Diploma from an accredited nursing program and at least one year of relevant experience.
