Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Per Diem - Night Shift

About the role

Per Diem Registered Nurse in Med/Surg units, providing safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Independently deliver nursing care, utilizing the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Supervise and guide unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety, quality patient experiences, and positive health outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current IL RN licensure; graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• BLS certification; active NIHSS certification required.
• Minimum two years recent acute care med/surg experience, with telemetry competence demonstrated within 14 days of hire.
• Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical care and telemetry.
