Per Diem Registered Nurse in Medical/Surgical units, providing safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities
- Independently deliver patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process
- Supervise and guide unlicensed assistive personnel in interdisciplinary care
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety
- Contribute to high-quality patient experiences and safety initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- Current Illinois RN license and graduation from an NLN-accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- BLS certification and active NIHSS certification
- Minimum two years recent acute care med/surg experience, including telemetry competence within 14 days of hire
Key Duties
- Provide care during night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
- Utilize nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Maintain certifications and stay updated on clinical skills
