About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Labor & Delivery RN to join our team. You will provide care and treatment to obstetric patients in our patient-centered care model, making clinical assessments and managing treatment autonomously. You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation
- Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues
- Evaluate the obstetrical patient for any situation that may compromise the well-being of mother and fetus
- Participate in routine deliveries as well as planned or emergent Cesarean Sections
- Act as an advocate for patient safety
- Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment
- Educate patients regarding medications, procedures, and treatments, providing support to patients and their families throughout their stay
Requirements
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required (compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation)
- 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred
- Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree (BSN preferred)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of start
- American Heart Association ACLS Provider certification required within 6 months of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
