Registered Nurse, Float Pool

About the role

Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, including medication administration, clinical treatments, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs House Supervisor duties as needed to ensure quality nursing care across the facility.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams for patient transfers, discharges, and support services.
• Assesses and educates patients and families, advocates for patient well-being, and manages staffing assignments.
• Provides staff training, mentoring, and performance evaluations while ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
• Handles complex issues and complaints effectively.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
• Valid RN license for the state, with BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as per unit requirements.
• Demands critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in stressful environments.
• Proficient in healthcare regulations, confidentiality, and policy application.

Key Duties

• Ensures quality patient care, documents clinical activities, monitors patient conditions, and supports activities of daily living.
• Leads staff, promotes professional development, and maintains compliance with organizational protocols.
