About the Role
Provides direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Performs nursing interventions such as medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
- Documents patient care and monitors and communicates patient status
- Assists with activities of daily living
- Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, and support needs
- Evaluates learning needs and provides patient education
- Advocates for patient well-being
- Manages staffing assignments and mentors and trains staff
- Ensures compliance with policies
- Handles complex issues and complaints
- Serves internal and external stakeholders
- Handles sensitive information and understands healthcare regulations
- Performs other assigned duties
Leadership
- Supervises staff and evaluates performance
- Promotes staff development to maintain service quality
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
- Current RN license
- BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Skills
- Critical thinking and decisive judgment
- Ability to work independently in stressful environments
