Registered Nurse - Days - Flex Unit

Position: Registered Nurse Location: LOH Main - Naperville Type: Part-Time, 24 hours/week Role Overview The Registered Nurse assesses patient conditions, develops and implements care plans, documents treatments, and evaluates outcomes. They create a welcoming environment, promote safety, and ensure timely rounding and documentation. The nurse collaborates with departments to facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges, while communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. They participate in interdisciplinary planning, contribute to departmental goals, and support staff development and program evaluation. The role includes supervising direct patient care, managing resources efficiently, and maintaining confidentiality. Qualifications & Skills Nursing degree with current Illinois RN license CPR certification (American Heart Association) CPI certification within 90 days of hire Preferred: psychiatric experience, knowledge of abnormal psychology, and understanding of therapeutic systems Strong communication, collaboration, and professional growth mindset Key Duties Assess and care for patients, documenting and evaluating treatment outcomesCollaborate on patient admissions, transfers, and dischargesEngage with patients and families for comprehensive care planningSupport departmental goals and participate in training and evaluationsSupervise direct care, manage resources, and ensure safety and quality standards
