Registered Nurse - Days - Flex Unit

Role: Registered Nurse Responsibilities: Assess patient conditions, develop and administer care plans, document care, and evaluate outcomes. Provide a welcoming environment, promote patient safety, and ensure timely rounds and precaution records. Collaborate with departments for patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring thorough communication. Engage with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather data on physical, psychosocial, and discharge needs, contributing to interdisciplinary planning. Support department goals, participate in quality improvement, and assist in staff selection and training. Supervise care delivery as needed, working within resource constraints, and serve as a role model and resource for staff and students. Attend training, explain policies, and engage community groups to promote mental health awareness. Qualifications & Skills: Nursing degree, current Illinois RN license, CPR certification, and CPI certification within 90 days. Preferred experience includes at least one year in psychiatric care and knowledge of abnormal psychology and therapeutic systems. Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
