Registered Nurse - 7 South: Medical Surgical - Full Time - Days

About the role

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care on a mixed-acuity Medical/Surgical unit. Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of those solutions.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Professional certifications that support a culture of nursing excellence
