Regional Sales Manager - Texas/Latin America
About the role
The overall purpose of this role is to accelerate sales growth within the specified region through direct sales new business development and effective existing account management. Commercially, the role holder strives to exceed annual targets while adhering to margin and profit thresholds. Technically, they must have solid experience in powder handling and processing.
Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify industry, consumer and competitive trends; form partnerships and network to develop and maintain client relationships.
Develop New Sales Opportunities: Gather sales intelligence on new and existing customers, follow up on qualified leads, and generate new business through web research, direct contact, and events.
Account Management: Manage and nurture business relationships with key accounts, retain loyal clients, and increase revenue by connecting with new customers.
Qualifying Opportunities: Determine if the customer is a good fit for the proposed product or system by following established qualification criteria.
Core Sales Activities: Manage customer site visits, help coordinate demonstrations and trials, assist with reviewing and defining User Requirement Specifications, and negotiate and close orders.
Accurate Forecasting: Communicate accurate sales forecasts by month, quarter, and year, adhering to MPT's established forecasting methodology.
Marketing: Share market and customer information with the marketing team for use in developing and delivering marketing activities, respond to inquiries, and participate in the customer journey.
Evaluating Leads, Opportunities, Wins & Losses: Measure success and provide constructive feedback to marketing for the ongoing improvement of lead generation.
Sales Support Information: Identify and secure case studies & testimonials for marketing campaigns, create and develop supporting information for customers, and ensure the CRM (Dynamics) is routinely updated.
Requirements
Fluent in written and verbal Spanish is essential; Portuguese would also be an advantage.
Highly motivated, self-starting individual with the ability to plan, organize, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work both independently and part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with active listening.
Capable of effectively and accurately working on several long-term projects at one time.
Ability to connect with their audience and present in a professional and engaging manner.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building capability using a trusted advisor approach.
Possesses a solutions-oriented approach; has the ability to handle objections and to face and overcome adversity.
Ability to travel, as required, on a regular basis.
Physically able to climb onto structures, stairs, ladders, scaffolds, customer facilities, and industrial plants, inspect equipment for failure and process analysis, and enter equipment access points.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office and Dynamics.
Results-driven and motivated to achieve and exceed targets.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and/or Engineering discipline.
Equivalent experience commensurate with the knowledge gained through completion of one of the above degrees will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Extensive and relevant experience in industry field sales, ideally capital goods equipment.
Knowledge of powder handling and powder processing theory is important.
Experience with particle size reduction, blending and screening technologies is advantageous.
A valid driver’s license is essential.
Skills

Benefits
The total rewards package includes a compensation range of $127,200.00 - $190,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for a performance-based bonus plan. Location and Travel Requirements
This role is remote based from either Texas or surrounding states and requires extensive travel to South America. Travel to customer sites, exhibitions, seminars, and presentations is also required. Regular attendance to the North America Headquarters and occasional travel to other MPT sites is necessary to establish working relationships and promote collaboration within the wider team.
