Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing customer relationships to achieve targeted sales goals. This role requires extensive travel across Mexico, Caribbean, Central America, South America, and occasional trips elsewhere. The position reports to the Vice President of Sales and must reside within an hour of a major international airport, with a preference in Florida, Georgia, or Texas.
Responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing accounts at all functional levels of the organization, including engineering, operations, purchasing, and management.
- Developing sales strategies, sales opportunities, and value-based solutions through application evaluations with End User Customers.
- Utilizing all available sales and marketing tools for presentations, sales calls, cold calling, and prospecting.
- Creating an efficient territory schedule to ensure regular client visits and effective prospecting.
- Working as a liaison between the customer and engineering to develop innovative project solutions with strong value propositions.
- Ensuring accurate and timely collection of all project details necessary for applications engineering evaluation and quote projects.
- Prioritizing order transitions between sales and operations.
- Conducting oneself with the highest level of ethics and integrity.
- Consistently achieving or exceeding sales forecasts and quotas.
- Documenting all Opportunities, Companies, Contacts, and customer Interactions in our Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Bilingual in Spanish required. Portuguese a plus.
- Proven track record of successful sales experience in capital equipment within the packaging industry.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex machinery specifications and features.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Results-driven mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding sales targets.
- Competent user of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Experience with development of reps/agent network and/or distributors.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet customers and attend industry events (60-70%); must reside within an hour of a major international airport, with a preference in Florida, Georgia or Texas.
