Recovery Support Staff - Part Time

About the role

2nd shift adult residential support professional in a trauma-informed recovery center serving adult women recovering from substance use disorders, including mothers with infants up to 3 months old.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily encouragement and structure to support residents’ recovery
• Monitor and document resident well-being
• Administer or oversee medication intake
• Assist with meals, housekeeping, laundry, and daily tasks
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation
• Respond to emergencies and crises
• Help residents achieve treatment goals
• Transport residents to appointments and activities
• Collect urine samples and conduct breathalyzer tests
• Facilitate educational and life skills activities
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in human services, behavioral health, or residential care preferred
• Coursework in social work, psychology, or related fields is a plus
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and work independently
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Training in fire safety, first aid, and medication administration preferred but can be completed after hire

Travel within the community may be required (up to 25–50%).
