R&D Tax Credits Manager or Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development (R&D) tax credit consulting and manage related projects
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships during service delivery
• Ensure quality assurance and support IRS inquiries and rulings
• Perform engagement management activities such as billing, invoicing, and setup
• Draft opinion letters, technical memoranda, and responses to IRS
• For Senior Manager: actively participate in new business development and assist colleagues with engagement delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum five years for Manager, eight years for Senior Manager, of recent experience in R&D tax credit projects in a large firm, corporation, or law firm
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• CPA, JD/LLM, or relevant advanced degree/certification (e.g., MBA, PhD, PE, Six Sigma)
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience managing multiple client engagements and understanding of related tax codes
• For Senior Manager: experience mentoring staff and leading business development efforts
