R&D Tax Credits Manager or Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice.

Responsibilities

• Conducting R&D tax credit research, consulting, and project management
• Managing R&D tax credit studies and maintaining client relationships
• Providing quality assurance, engagement review, and supporting IRS inquiries
• Handling engagement activities such as billing, invoicing, and setup
• Drafting opinion letters, technical memoranda, and IRS responses
• Engaging in new business development and assisting with project delivery
• Mentoring staff and supporting team activities

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in R&D tax credit projects within a large firm, corporation, or law firm
• Bachelor's degree and relevant professional credentials (CPA, JD, MBA, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience managing multiple client engagements and technical knowledge of R&D tax codes
• For Senior Manager: at least eight years of federal tax experience and mentoring skills
