Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees or analyzes analytical data from beginning of fermentation to final packaged product.
- Maintains and reports product conformance to engineering and customer specifications through inspection of raw materials and works in progress.
- Maintains and tracks yeast for proper fermentation and quality.
- Reports and tracks any significant deviations from quality standards and recommends corrective action to appropriate management.
- Understands new product development to ensure proper quality assurance and control plans can be implemented prior to beginning production.
- Reviews production processes for conformance to quality standards.
- Establishes information for employees on quality issues and develops programs to encourage each employee to perform quality control as part of operations.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in lab at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Nexcelom.
