Quality Control Lab Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and log samples for testing
  • Perform laboratory tests in accordance with established specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Work with various chemicals (including lead, chromate, manganese, jet fuel, etc.) in a safe and compliant manner
  • Schedule batches for testing and ensure timely completion
  • Accurately record and maintain test data
  • Generate routine reports
  • Approve or reject production batches based on results
  • Recommend and determine appropriate batch adjustments when necessary
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to meet assigned deadlines
  • Follow proper waste disposal and recycling procedures

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a laboratory technician, OR 2 years of college coursework in chemistry or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft
