Quality Control Lab Technician

Atlas Roofing Web Technologies Division is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician for Meridian, MS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspection and testing of all finished products and raw material to ensure they meet Atlas quality standards.
• Keep all manufacturing specifications, test results on complaints, UL material, and new product information confidential.
• Monitor product and test facer material using approved test methods and precision equipment to ensure that no defective material reaches the customer.
• Maintain reports and records on all tests and keep a daily logbook.
• Keep all testing equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean lab and a good working relationship with production supervisors.
• Work with supervisors in solving problems resulting in defective products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in roofing or coated glass facer manufacturing preferred.

Skills

• Strong PC literacy with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email applications.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and retain detailed customer and product information.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively manage changes in customer orders and communicate updates to production as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas.
• Experience entering, manipulating, and retrieving data from systems with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse personnel and customers.
• Professional presence and presentation when representing the organization to customers and the public.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
