About the role
Program Tech collaborates with the treatment team to coordinate client care from admission to discharge, monitoring daily activities in a residential setting. This role emphasizes compassionate client care, teamwork, safety, and effective communication to support clients' recovery within a structured treatment environment.
Responsibilities
- Providing clinical support and ensuring client safety and treatment adherence.
- Recognizing symptoms of substance use, mental illness, overdose, and warning signs of suicide.
- Utilizing active listening, motivational techniques, and crisis management skills.
- Maintaining treatment boundaries, documenting activities accurately, and responding promptly to client needs.
- Assisting with medication administration, collecting drug screens, and ensuring safety during behavioral incidents.
- Working with the team to deliver comprehensive services, guiding daily activities, and fostering a respectful, compassionate environment.
- Providing transportation for off-campus activities following policies.
- Communicating effectively with co-workers, documenting shift reports, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
- Knowledge of mental health, substance use, crisis intervention, and dual diagnosis.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with computer proficiency.
