About the role

The Respiratory Therapist II is responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Administer aerosolized medications
• Manage ventilators
• Perform airway procedures
• Analyze arterial blood gases
• Educate patients and staff
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to plan and evaluate patient care, ensuring safety and quality standards
• Support staff development
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Promote evidence-based practices
• Maintain accurate documentation and electronic orders
• Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's preferred)
• NBRC-RRT certification
• RCP license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• 0–2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care
• Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills
• Ability to assess, educate, and build professional relationships
