PRN Respiratory Therapist II

Role Overview The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in complex settings, primarily in critical care areas. Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway procedures, arterial blood gas analysis, patient education, and collaboration with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans. The role also involves mentoring new staff and students, promoting patient safety, documentation, and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Requires an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC-RRT certification, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. Minimal 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care is preferred. Essential skills include excellent communication, critical thinking, teamwork, assessment, and computer proficiency.
