PRN Respiratory Therapist II

Role: Respiratory Therapist II Responsibilities Administer medications and implement respiratory care based on advanced knowledge and patient needs.Manage complex patient cases, primarily in critical care settings, with protocol-driven ventilator management and independent decision-making.Perform patient assessments, collaborate with healthcare teams, and verify orders for therapies such as aerosolized medications, airway management, and blood gas analysis.Educate patients, families, and support systems; mentor and precept new staff and students.Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and cardiac service procedures.Promote safety, quality care, evidence-based practices, and performance improvement initiatives. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.Certifications: NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS required upon hire.0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills.
