PRN Occupational Therapist (OTR)

About the role

As an Enhance Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist, you will be a part of a growing team. Your responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients in a SNF setting following an individualized plan of care. You will also provide excellent care for our patients, providing excellent customer service to patients and family members, collaborating with facility staff to ensure excellent care for patients, evaluating new patients, developing plans of care and setting measurable, functional goals, treating patients, answering their concerns and educating them on their injury, progress and probable outcomes, re-evaluating patient progress, revising plans of care and resetting goals, and completing timely and accurate documentation including evaluations, re-evaluations, discharges, and daily progress notes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure excellent care for patients
• Evaluate new patients, develop plans of care and set measurable, functional goals
• Treat patients, answer their concerns and educate them on their injury, progress and probable outcomes
• Re-evaluate patient progress, revise plans of care and reset goals
• Complete timely and accurate documentation including evaluations, re-evaluations, discharges, and daily progress notes
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. You should also possess a current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in your state. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience in a skilled nursing facility setting is preferred but not required.
