About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders and established goals
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
  • Maintain resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
  • Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals regarding treatment plans and outcomes
  • Participate in care conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and discharge planning
  • Education residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and home programs
  • Conduct in-service training and education for facility staff as needed
  • Ensure compliance with state practice acts, facility policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Support residents in achieving their highest level of function, independence, and quality of life

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required. Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred. Experience with Casamba and PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Current Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in South Carolina in good standing. Must maintain all required continuing education requirements. Must maintain licensure in good standing with the State Board.
