About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders and established goals
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
- Maintain resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals regarding treatment plans and outcomes
- Participate in care conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and discharge planning
- Education residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and home programs
- Conduct in-service training and education for facility staff as needed
- Ensure compliance with state practice acts, facility policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support residents in achieving their highest level of function, independence, and quality of life
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required. Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy preferred.
- Experience: Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred. Experience with Casamba and PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in South Carolina in good standing. Must maintain all required continuing education requirements. Must maintain licensure in good standing with the State Board.
