Responsibilities
- Perform hemodialysis treatment procedures safely and efficiently.
- Provide specialized registered nursing care in accordance with state law.
- Assess patients thoroughly and document responses to renal failure and treatments.
- Develop and implement care plans for patients, collaborating with various healthcare professionals.
- Communicate significant information to appropriate team members and ensure all paperwork is completed properly.
- Administer medications correctly and teach patients about their dosages and potential side effects.
- Obtain and perform routine laboratory tests, interpreting results and communicating with dietitians and nephrologists.
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately and ensure all delegated tasks are completed.
- Assume primary nurse responsibilities in the absence of the Charge Nurse.
- Follow legal and ethical guidelines, promoting patient education and safety.
- Participate in unit quality assurance programs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Respond promptly to emails and maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent.
- Current RN license for KY and current CPR certification.
- One year of Hemodialysis RN experience (two to three years preferred).
- Strong technical and computer proficiency.

Pay
The hourly rate for PRN employees ranges from $45.00 to $50.00 per hour, based on documented experience, qualifications, and market data.
Schedule
This Dialysis Unit operates Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 4:30am - 5pm. As a PRN team member, you will have the flexibility to coordinate your schedule to fit your availability.
