Description

AWS is a leading cloud provider offering virtualized infrastructure, storage, networking, messaging, and other services globally. We are seeking a Principal Business Development - GTM, Telco IT Migration and Modernization to drive growth and market adoption of AWS IT, OSS and BSS solutions for the Telco sector.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive strategic deals and back-feed field insights to AWS Service Teams, Marketing, AWS Services, and Partner organization.
  • Define and execute high-impact business development and go-to-market programs including partners.
  • Develop industry solutions and supporting collateral.
  • Liaise with the AWS field sales organization, channels, and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS.
  • Create and execute a key business development plan for target markets and align with AWS strategic direction while working with key internal stakeholders.
  • Build and articulate business plans with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage, influence, and present to C-level executives.
  • Present and articulate complex technical concepts to cross-functional audiences.
  • Possess strong leadership skills and build a territory strategy to meet both short and long-term goals, objectives, and targets.
  • Travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Experience working within virtual and cross-functional teams.

The Telco IBU Go To Market Specialists Team transforms the telecommunications industry by leveraging AWS technology, AI, GenAI, and Agents. We are a group of high-talent, industry experts who utilize our telecom subject matter expertise to guide our customers through their digital/Cloud/AI transformation journeys.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience.
  • 10+ years of problem-solving with technology in the Telecommunications industry.
  • 5+ years of experience with data and AI-related technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage.
  • 10+ years of experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
  • 10+ years of experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner.
  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations.
