Premier Truck Technician / Mechanic
Job Summary
Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a Premier Truck Technician / Mechanic to join our team. This role requires a master-level understanding of truck systems, strong problem-solving ability, and confidence to lead by example while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
About the Role
As our Premier Truck Technician / Mechanic, you’ll be a leader in the shop and take ownership of complex diagnostics, advanced repairs, and overall shop excellence for medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks. You’ll oversee and perform precision diagnostics and repairs, providing guidance and mentorship to other technicians, and play a key role in maintaining operational excellence within the shop.
Responsibilities
- Tackle complex diagnostics and repairs for engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
- Execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure long-term reliability for our customers.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other technicians.
- Lead by example, upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
- Minimize downtime and ensure every repair is completed right.
- Maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the shop.
Requirements
- 7 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
- Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
- Self-motivation and assertiveness.
- Ability to work under little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Must provide own tools.

Pay
$46.45-51.50/hr (Depending on Experience)
Schedule
Paccar Certified technicians will have the option of working four ten-hour shifts.
