Job Summary
Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician to join our team. What You'll Do
- Take on the challenge of maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high standards.
- Support customers' success by keeping their trucks running smoothly and maximizing uptime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, identifying the best solutions to restore each truck to peak performance.
- Repair or rebuild major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
- Continue improving your skills while working alongside other highly trained technicians in a fully equipped shop.
What You Need
- 2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
- Will also accept candidates with a Diesel tech degree and a mechanical aptitude/background.
- Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
- Self-motivation and assertiveness.
- Ability to work under little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Must provide own tools.
Compensation
$33.80-38.15/hr (Depending on Experience)
