About the Role
Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, identifying optimal solutions to restore trucks to peak performance.
- Repair or rebuild major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
- Work alongside highly trained technicians in a fully equipped shop to improve skills and deliver top-quality work.
- Support customers by maximizing truck uptime and ensuring smooth operations.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty Class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
- Candidates with a Diesel tech degree and mechanical aptitude/background will also be considered.
- Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
- Self-motivation and assertiveness.
- Ability to work under little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Must provide own tools.
Pay
$29.80–34.35/hour (depending on experience).
