About the Role

As our Experienced Truck Technician / Mechanic, you’ll take on the challenge of maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and performing top-quality work that maximizes uptime for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Taking on the maintenance and repair of medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues to restore each truck to peak performance.
  • Repairing or rebuilding major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
  • Continuing to improve your skills while working alongside other highly trained technicians in a fully equipped shop.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty Class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
  • Will also accept candidates with a Diesel tech degree and a mechanical aptitude/background.
  • Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
  • Self-motivation and assertiveness.
  • Ability to work under little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • Must provide own tools.
