Post Surgical RN

About the Role

Provides skilled nursing care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, supporting patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. Utilizes advanced technology including telemetry monitoring, patient lifts, and virtual whiteboards.

Responsibilities

• Performs EKG interpretation and central line care.
• Assists with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, delegates tasks, and manages time effectively.
• Collaborates with nursing assistants, interns, and healthcare providers.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• ACLS certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• At least one year of relevant RN experience for PRN roles.
• All certifications must be obtained upon hire.

Preferred Skills

• BSN degree.
• Professional certifications recognized by the Magnet designation.
