Post Surgical RN

About the Role

Provide high-quality nursing care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on patients with conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis. This role involves working in a technologically advanced environment with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes, supporting a team dedicated to eliminating healthcare disparities.

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills including EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
• Monitor and manage advanced equipment such as rescue Bi-PAP, high-flow oxygen, and ventilators.
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management to deliver patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, and OT staff.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Maintain BLS certification; ACLS certification is required within six months.
• PRN staff need at least one year of relevant RN experience and all necessary certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree.
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
