Post Surgical RN

About the role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West), including patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced technology and clinical skills such as EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management while collaborating with nursing assistants, interns, providers, and therapists.
• Manage a 14-bed unit with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• For PRN roles: at least 1 year of RN experience and all certifications upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program.
