About the role
Join our Critical Care Step Down Unit to provide specialized nursing care for patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. The role involves critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management in a fast-paced environment. The unit features advanced technology like patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring. You will collaborate with PCNAs, Interns, Providers, PT, and OT. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1 across 24 beds.
Responsibilities
- EKG interpretation
- Central line care
- Managing rescue Bi-Pap, high flow oxygen, trachs, and vents
- Assisting with bedside procedures
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Ohio
- BLS certification
- ACLS within 6 months
Preferred qualifications
- BSN
