Post Surgical RN

About the Role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse patient populations in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, including patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. The unit has 14 beds and offers technological enhancements to support nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced technology such as telemetry monitoring, patient lifts, and communication tools
• Perform EKG interpretation
• Manage central lines
• Assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, PT, and OT

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current RN licensure in Ohio
• BLS certification (obtained within 90 days of hire)
• ACLS certification (obtained within 6 months of hire)
• PRN roles require at least 1 year of RN experience and all certifications at time of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation

Schedule

Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
