About the Team

A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice, with offices throughout the US, focuses on serving the middle market and large cap private equity firms who have engaged A&M to help improve operating results at their portfolio companies. Our professionals are aligned with a PEPI service line to promote the development of deep functional skills & experiences and to maximize our ability to tailor solutions to solve our clients' business issues.

Responsibilities

  • Own 1–2 core workstreams (e.g., Market Attractiveness, Customer & GTM, Competitive Dynamics)
  • Design analytical approaches within assigned workstreams
  • Manage Consultants and Associates within the workstream
  • Ensure analytical rigor, coherence, and insight quality
  • Synthesize findings into clear implications for the deal thesis
  • Partner closely with the Director on issue framing and prioritization

Requirements

  • MBA from a top-tier business school (or equivalent experience)
  • 4–6 years of experience in strategy consulting, PE, or adjacent roles
  • Strong problem-structuring and analytical leadership skills

  • Delivers airtight workstreams that stand up to IC scrutiny
  • Develops junior talent effectively
  • Becomes the “go-to” owner for specific diligence modules

Pay

The salary range is $125,000-$190,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.
